Honors (Pre-AP) Biology:
- Mon., 4/16: Review: gram stain; facultative-obligate anaerobes/aerobes; most bacteria helpful. CW: Students will research the following topics: 1) How bacteria are beneficial - select one specific bacteria and describe why it is beneficial; 2) Research assigned disease caused by a bacteria - disease, cause, treatment; 3) Research the growing problem of antibiotic resistance by bacteria as well as pros/cons of using antibacterial hand sanitizers. Take notes today - product will be Word, Google Doc/Presenter, PPT.
- HW: Complete research project
- Thurs., 4/19 : Present/discuss research information. CW: Complete a poster about the use of hand sanitizer. HW: Study for test - Classification/Bacteria - Monday, 4/23.
- Monday, 4/16: Complete storyboards. Begin filming/editing.
- Tuesday, 4/17: Complete filming/narration. Continue editing.
- Wed., 4/18: Add intro to podcast. Finish editing.
- Thurs., 4/19: Review ALEX submission requirements and select COS objectives.
- Friday, 4/20: Finish podcasts and submit to ALEX.,
- Mon., 4/16: Finish robotics presentations. Begin construction of Bristlebot. HW: Research other "bristlebots" or robots that could be made with paging motor, copper wire, watch battery. Review materials I have. Bring in other materials.
- Thurs., 4/19: Finish bristlebot. Construct second robot.
Multimedia:
- Tues., 4/17: Garageband skills (objectives). Students will be able to: 1) cut/edit/trim music from beginning, middle, end of music; 2) complete dubstep and wobbly bass effects; 3) remix a song. Test tomorrow on these skills.
- Wed., 4/18: Students will edit a song. Students will remix a song. Students will prepare a 10 second background song.
- Fri., 4/20: Prepare dubstep with wobbly bass effect.
