A Days

Honors Biology:  We will begin a study of photosynthesis (Ch. 6), including the Light Reactions and the Calvin Cycle.  The parts of a plant will also be incorporated into this unit.

• Mon., 11/8:Check outline/vocab from Sec. 1. Notes/discuss light reactions.  HW: Read section 2 and complete: vocab p 120, Sec. Rev p. 124
• Wed., 11/10: HW Check; Explore Learning Activity on what affects the rate of photosynthesis; Class code: JMBJMVTAJL

Tech Essentials:  Students will continue working with Excel, specifically comparing the surface area and volume of a cube and a sphere. Skills include: formulas, referencing cells, exponents, and absolute cell references.

Modeling and Simulations:  Students will continue working with advanced functions in Excel as well as complete a business model with interactive variables.

B Days

Multimedia:  We continue working with Flash animation software. Students will complete and then present a flash animation using the following skills: masking; adding sound; shape tween, special effect (explode, expand, blur), trace bitmap and motion guides.

Tech Essentials:  Same as A Days

Anatomy and Physiology:  We continue our study of the skeletal system, specifically looking at bone development and grown, bone functions, and bone structure.  

• Tues., 11/9: Complete Flash or PPT on anatomy topic; Study Guide 7.1 - 7.4.  HW: Complete any questions from study guide and study.
• Fri., 11/12: PPT/Flash presentations; Notes: Skeletal Organization (Sec. 7.5); HW: Study Guide Sec VI (7.5)
