Sorry to say that we are missing our President's Day "holiday" in order to make up a "snow day" but, at least we don't have to add another day to the end of our school year ... yet! But, good news - I will be at a podcasting seminar on Thursday and Friday so you will have a sub both days.
A Days (Monday and Thursday)
Honors Biology:Protein synthesis test (chapter 10) on Monday! We are skipping a teacher-directed study of chapters 11 - 13 and students will be completing research on a topic related to information in one of these chapters.
- HW 2/21 - Decide on a research topic. Write up a paragraph about the topic and how you will present your information.
- CW 2/25 - You will be watching a video called "Lorenzo's Oil", about a young boy who has a rare genetic disorder, Adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD). Take notes about the disorder - when it first occurs, symptoms, as well as the parents' work in finding a "cure".
- 2/24: (sub) Students will research the following questions and upload the answers to Moodle. 1) Is blood ever blue? 2) Describe the differences in arteries, capillaries, and veins.
- 2/24 CW: Vocab P 933
- 2/25: (sub) SR p. 939
