Honors (Pre-AP) Biology: We continue with our last chapter on genetics, (ch. 12) Inheritance and Human Genetics as well as end our first chapter on our ecology project. 
  • Mon., 2/13: Test Review; CW: vocabulary p. 235; Terrariums, worm compost bin. HW: Study for test, ch. 18 (Thurs.)
  • Thurs.,2/16: Test - Ch 18. CW: SR. p. 240
Intro to Med Tech Essentials: Students will complete their research on medical careers requiring a HS degree, associates degree, or training.  They will continue to read through the novel, The Hot Zone. 
  • Mon., 2/13:  CW: Read Hot Zone and take notes; Career research - medical careers with high school degree
  • Tues., 2/14: CW: Hot Zone; Review ACTE competition info.  Students will select a category in which to complete a project. 
  • Wed., 2/15: CW:  Hot Zone; ACTE project
  • Thurs.,2/16: Read Hot Zone; ACTE project
  • Fri., 2/17:   No school for students
    Principles of Engineering: Students will begin a one week look at paper airplanes in preparation for entering a contest at UAH. 
    • Mon., 2/13: Intro airplane aerodynamics, different designs for different functions. Students will make 3 airplanes to enter in 3 of 5 different different categories.
    • Thurs., 2/16: Test airplane designs.
    B Days: Tuesday, Wednesday (Friday is Teacher In-Service - no school for students.)


    Multimedia:  We are continuing to create audio podcasts on different topics. 
    • Tues., 2/14Audio Podcast - complete recording. Begin video podcast.
      • Wed., 2/15: Video Podcast - film, edit. 
      • Fri., 2/17: No school for students

        Principles of Engineering: Students are competing in the West Point Bridge Building contest as well as building paper airplanes suitable for UAH Paper Airplane contest.
        • Wed., 2/8:  Paper Airplane Designs. Students will complete 4 airplanes that will compete in one of the 5 following categories:  Distance; Flight Time; Accuracy; Aerobatics; Artistic
        • Thurs., 2/9: Paper Airplane Contest 
        B Days: (Tues., Fri.)
        Multimedia: Students will use Audacity to create and finish an audio podcast.

        Honors Biology: Same as Mon and Wed A days (above).  Test Ch. 10 Tuesday!
