Honors (Pre-AP) Biology: We have completed our first test on genetics and "punnett squares" are now part of our vocabulary.  This week we look at DNA, a little of its history as well as its composition, and how it replicates (copies) itself.

  • Thurs.,2/2: Review DNA replication;  CW: DNA model HW: Sec.Rev., p. 202. 
Intro to Med Tech Essentials: Students will complete our overview of bacteria and viruses and begin an essay on a specific career field based on a career survey.
  • Mon., 1/30: (SUB) CW: Read Hot Zone and take notes; Video: Andromeda Strain
  • Tues., 1/31: CW: Hot Zone; Continue Andromeda Strain; Continue Website presentations HW: Test tomorrow first two chapters Hot Zone
  • Wed., 2/1:    Test: Hot Zone; Website Presentations; Andromeda Strain
  • Thurs.,2/2: Read Hot Zone; Prezi Presentations; Andromeda Strain
  • Fri., 2/3:  Read Hot Zone; Complete Andromeda Strain; Prezi Presentations
    Principles of Engineering: Students have finished their bridges and will begin competing in the West Point Bridge Building Competition. 
    • Mon., 1/30: :One group will complete bridge construction.  Others will work in groups to complete one bridge (that works) to the sponsor website. 
    B Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday


    Multimedia:  We are continuing to create audio podcasts on different topics.
