A Days (Monday and Thursday)
Honors (Pre-AP) Biology: We continue our study of chemistry with a look at organic molecules. Objectives for this week: 1) Distinguish between organic and inorganic molecules; 2) Identify functional groups in organic molecules; 3) ID four main classes of organic molecules and summarize their functions in the body
- Mon, 9/12: Test on chapter 2. CW: Activity on functional groups. Discuss properties of organic molecules and why important. HW: p. 54, 1-10, Q&A.
- Thurs., 9/15: HW check. Discuss nutrition. Activity: McDonald's nutrition. HW: p. 60, 1-10, Q&A. Bring in small quantities of food for lab on Monday. Remember, lab rules regarding shoes, contacts, hair.
