Monday, 3/14 - Friday, 3/18

This is the last week for grades before report cards are issued on 3/14. 

A Days (Monday, Wednesday and Thursday)
Honors Biology:Projects, homework, labs ... oh my! Genetics projects are due on a topic relating to an uncovered chapter in our biology books.  In addition, students had homework to show the food web of typical plants and animals found in a specific state.
  • 3/14: Take up HW (food webs) CW: Genetics presentations. HW: SR p. 374
  • 3/16: HW Check; Lab - Owl Pellets (Discovering a food web). Discuss water, carbon, and nitrogen cycles
  • 3/17: Discuss predator-prey relationships and examples
Medical Tech Essentials: Students will present their videos on second hand smoke.
Modeling and Simulations:  Students are working on their technical paper: Introduction; Problem Statement; and Method of Solution. The Introduction is the background information on their topic. The Problem Statement introduces the question they are attempting to solve and the variables involved. The Method of Solution explains in detail how they solved their problem (answered their question). 
B Days (Tuesday and Friday)
Multimedia: Students will present their "common word" project and begin their last project involving only Audacity - their radio commercial with sound effects and a "jingle".
Medical Tech Essentials:  Same as A days.
Anatomy and Physiology:We are beginning our study of the brain - the second part of our study of the nervous system.
