Monday, 2/7 - Fiday, 2/11

I can't believe it's been a month since Christmas break ... it seems longer and yet we missed an entire week of school.

A Days (Monday and Thursday)

Honors Biology:Watson/Crick, DNA, chromosomes, genes, proteins - we will try to make sense of it all this week.  We will cover some of the fundamentals of DNA Monday, maybe extract some DNA Thursday and move on to protein synthesis by the end of the week.

• HW 2/7: Section 1 objectives - answer as questions in your notebook.

Medical Tech Essentials: On to the muscular system as we continue our overview of human anatomy.  We will complete a dissection of a chicken wing to look at the similarities between human and chicken muscle and skeleton anatomies.  In addition, we will spend some class time reviewing muscle structure as well as researching some careers related to either bones or muscles.
 Modeling and Simulations:  Students will continue working with various aspects of Flash animation, Sketch-up, Blender, and Gamemaker and present their animations.

B Days (Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday)

Multimedia:  We began our work with Audacity software on Friday and students did a really nice job of combining two audio clips to make one.  This week will will continue to focus on some editing techniques of this software.

Medical Tech Essentials:  Same as A days.

Anatomy and Physiology:  Test Wed. on muscular system! We will spend some time Tuesday with a study guide/test review.  Sub on Friday!
